What about making kindof compilations out of several viewer submitted clips etc.? So the material that performs better is part of a longer video, full of exactly this material which would equal pretty long watchtime (percentage) which would negate the negative point of viewer

Remember that you don't need metrics when you have us, your big fanbase! Don't think about views but try to keep your videos' quality up and interestingness up.
