I would too! And I would fight against that happening.
There may come a day where we have to make a tough strategic call as a community but I hope it doesn't, and I don't know for sure what the right call there would be.

The right call is to fight for the free open and fair use of this technology. Everyone deserves access to what's being created here and to think otherwise is an insult to the people who are creating it. I support crypto because there's a real honest to God chance that we can -

yeah totally agree--we should keep fighting for it
FWIW I do think that regulation can help that fight *to the extent that it provides oversight of centralized exchanges while not interfering with DeFi*, taking some heat off of the rest of the space

When you say things like "we may have to make a tough strategic call" it sort of sounds like you've already given up. And that's pretty sad. I don't think crypto should settle compromises. I think we should go for the win. And I know there's an honest chance of that happening.

I'm just preemptively putting that there because if I don't people will say "oooh but what about when you were asked about strategic tradeoffs"?
And because, frankly, I think it's important, rhetorically (though I could be wrong!)
I hope so. This is about more than just money to A lot of us. And a lot of people respect and look up to you. After watching that debate with Erik it seems like you're taking the future of this industry on your shoulders. I just hope you take it in the right direction ser.
