That's why the focus shd always be developing it for censorship-resistant first above all else. If it doesn't exhibit censorship-resistance, we might as well just go with SQL ... or SOL.

I think that’s unfortunately true. But there is something to be said for playing the waiting game. We could let crypto ecosphere mature a lot more while Washington is stuck in a quagmire of other problems.

This. There will always be private ways to do things, but if anyone thinks crypto can long term survive without local compliance they are wrong. Nations still have public services and public welfare to attend to.

This is what allows long term main stream adoption. It's the same rationale for fdic and the likes. We are currently in the wild west, but it will be tamed, and the wild west will evolve with those integrations.

Yeah, but atm it feels like we are going go their table to ask if we can play with them. Probably a very naive take, but IMO we have the tech + enough people rn to build our own table and set up our own rules. The inevitable talks with them could held at our table

They are the masters of reserve currency. What kind of industry would it be if it’s not adopted by the USA or the west. Banks corps institutions won’t adopt. We asked for adoption, And now complain about regulation. You are fighting against the current.
