Well if you think your strategy is better you should pursue it, even tho others disagree, if their disagreements can't change your opinions, then they are kind of meaningless to you. You do what you think is best, otherwise, you might regret it.

I hear you! Hopefully you're right--hopefully we can end up in the perfect place regulatorily, and/or that taking an absolutist stance is the right negotiating tactic. It wouldn't be my guess, but maybe I'm wrong. We'll see!

I think part of the issue is that most don’t have the resources available to take the lead on something like this. People are looking to you to be a leader and listen to what your community thinks and believes is important.

Enough with the passive aggressive crap. You're one of the most powerful people in the world. If you're able to wield that power for good, do it. But many people don't trust you, for reasons unrelated to this policy debate. As long as that is the case, there will be skeptics.
