Yeah, realized after tweeting that I should not have said desired (I don’t know your desires). An expectation of that outcome seems aligned with your view on how to approach DC “negotiations.”

I can’t disagree with that sentiment. No compromise now is the high risk high reward approach. Compromise lowers risk but lowers the reward. I think it’s still worth fighting the fear at this point in favor of a high reward. But we need to do a better job in doing so.
