I really have no idea how these public companies retain their best people with a 60-80% drop in stock compensation. I expect all of our favorite consumer apps to atrophy & deteriorate over the next couple years, providing room for new apps to emerge.

Making the teams smaller is not so easy, usually, most companies run already optimized resources anyway. If you make them smaller you can't deliver and then you get income problems. It's not an easy problem to solve.

Social media are generational. Gen Z main social media is Tiktok, not instagram, twitter, or youtube. They even search first in Tiktok, not google. It’s not hard to imagine in the next 10 years Tiktok will be the Facebook while Facebook become myspace.
