Conditional burn is better imo. Recipient should have the right to force you to burn $X (or donate it to charity), but if the recipient is happy with your message it should cost nothing.

Conditional burns are interesting for removing spam. However, it would also decrease the amount of contradictory opinions being posted on an original thread, further increasing the 'echo chamber' effect.

How? There would be an equal fee for ever post regardless of the content. No one type of "opinion" would have an advantage
