1) I’ll post more later, but: a) Crypto—and for that matter, commerce in general—does not function without peer to peer transfers and a presumption of freedom b) it has to be free to write software as long as it is not eg a scam c) validators’ job is to validate not to police

Thanks for sharing your views on this bill. It's hard for ordinary crypto enthusiasts to make sense of the intersection of crypto technology, gov't/legal issues, & economic game theory that's relevant here. So, views from crypto leaders like you are appreciated.

The last DCCPA draft was clearly unworkable for defi so hope you are advocating for a new draft with more sensible language & regulations

There’s a fundamental conflict between crypto and the levers of power we use as a society to enforce laws. I think the enforcement side needs to be completely re-thought to adjust to this new reality, not crypto. That’s really, really hard, but it can/must be done. 👍
