How would content moderation happen on such a system? Eg if someone posts child porn or borderline hate speech, who decides what to take down?
Consensus votes might work for the most egregious offenses but not the borderline that incites violence, etc.

Also who would verify accounts and hand out “verified” badges? Sure, proof is on the blockchain but how do regular users know which is the 1,000 Elon Musk accounts is really Elon?
Pseudonymity works for regular folks but not celebs, political figures etc.

UI/UX provider could, as a centralized service, do badges (on-chain NFTs) backed by their credibility

Yes that’ll work — the winner will probably become very similar to the twitter today though 😅
Either way users will need to be savvier, not necessary a bad thing

Then it’s not decentralized, is it? And discriminates between users who are interested in NFTs and those who are not.
