Seems like the status quo is to believe a set of individually plausible things about Omicron which contradict each other, and then act so as to maximize the amount of time we're dysfunctional for, while not prioritizing new Omicron-specific meds.
Really the worst of all worlds.

those are the main ones, but likely won't come out ever, or at least until Omicron has already made its way through the world.

Imo we’ll likely just have a more robust vaccine come May or so being distributed.
Agreed omicron will be done by then but overall it should be better for future variants and still could be quite quick.
