ahh got it -- I guess the issues are:
a) can you direct deposit paychecks to an account with a different name than yours
b) how could FTX US decide who to credit it to

ya the problem is just knowing which user was responsible for a direct deposit if instead it's coming from their employer, plus the KYC issue (might have to KYC the employer too if that's who it's coming from?)
Wouldn’t it be possible to add employer in your account settings, so when you receive the payment it’s easier to match? I imagine it would be done manually.

Could enable an auto-deposit function? Deposit a fixed amount from bank to FTX automatically every week, or 2 weeks, etc.... Could serve as a proxy for direct deposit -- there would just be a small delay and the $ would go through your bank first.

Alternate work-around: enable recurring buys on via credit card (not sure if possible at the moment), set credit card to auto pay via your bank account 🤝

If FTX assigned a number to each account and got its own routing number I think that’s all there is to it.
I bet plaid would be in a better position to implement tbh.
