What are some irl examples of a VC “fighting for you”? Why is it better to have 1 VC “fighting for you” rather than focusing on a large community that could “fight for you”? The most successful projects in the space have large communities that “fight for them.”

If plebs like myself could maybe understand what a VC “fighting for you” looks like we could all be less stand-offish towards them? Like I see doing awesome stuff and being specific about how they have helped. Is that what "fighting for you" looks like?

If so then shouldn't it be fairly easy to know who out there is really helping the communities they are getting deals on? Why can't this be more publicly disclosed?

Much of the help is something like "I introduced them to this potential counterparty"
but that counterparty isn't comfortable with the intro being public yet

Got it. And do you believe that these things couldn't happen without a VC? Say you built up a powerful community that demanded attention - those intro's couldn't happen otherwise?

they def _could_ happen!
they're just a bit less likely to
VCs collectively are unlikely to be 90% of what matters, so selling 90% to them is silly
they very well could be 15%, so selling 3% at a reasonable price is totally reasonable
