BTC & ETH are pursuing a multilayer transaction system, but base layer transaction rate is slow & transaction cost is high. There is merit imo to Doge maximizing base layer transaction rate & minimizing transaction cost with exchanges acting as the de facto secondary layer.

4) Why can't we take points as they are, and acknowledge 's complicated relationship with crypto? And acknowledge that his worries about L1 throughput and energy usage are legit, even if he doesn't always immediately find the best solutions to them.

Exchange insiders tend to be heavily incentivized to promote a competitive multicoin narrative. They make more when users buy, trade, and take levered bets (where the house always wins).

Considering you own a centralized exchange it makes sense you also don’t get it. #BTC L1 is only about security, censorship resistance, and decentralized control. You can’t have those with throughput, and throughput is not needed on the #Bitcoin base network.
