A few other thoughts: 1) this isn't always bad. If employees want to move on, they should. Ghosts aren't helpful. 2) think hard about whether you want to be remote. It gives flexibility, but makes communication way shittier. 3) don't hire for hiring's sake.

1/ There’s a lot of chatter on the #grandattrition, where companies are seeing unprecedented rates of employee turnover right now. You are not alone. A lot of drivers for this and thoughts on mitigation... @lightspeedvp

Employee count growth is a means to an end, not the end in and of itself; the ultimate goal is company growth. If you hire too quickly or carelessly, your workforce will grow but your output won't, and your employees will feel useless.

It's part of the same coordination challenge that DAOs face to be successful, it isn't inherent, it just takes intention like any other operational component of a company:

1/41 I'm excited that in DAO's we're starting to have the conversation about what level of structure is needed to be successful. But, working remotely for the last decade, I can't help but notice that a lot of the challenges DAOs face are the same as remote companies.

100%. I love the concept of hiring the right people, not the right roles. And too many people like employee count vanity metrics. But attrition seems to be reaching critical mass for some companies right now. What’s worked best for ?
