1) What would it take to actually, really, legitimately, get stocks in DeFi?
In a way that was regulatorily approved, fully backed, free floating, fast, cheap, and integrated into the crypto ecosystem?
We've seen a bunch of approaches, but there's lots to iron out.

1. Brokerage/ATS license
2. Link into DTCC for settlement
3. Custodian for both stock and DeFi protocol if coins involved
4. Clear capital requirements for DeFi asset that the stock is wrapped in to hold both stock and DeFi asset on balance sheet. (this is the hardest)

There are better ways to do it without using coins... neo-brokerages will play an important role. Also check out the Paxos model. They figured it out.

He said actual real stocks. Mirror rocks, V2 is going to be amazing - particularly excited about new collateral for mAssets and voting incentives. But there is need to blast synthetics in a thread about legacy finance entering the space. That’s not what mirror is.
