Actually it would be interesting to know how much overlap there is between two key demographics. Assuming they are mostly males aged 20-40, I would say it's not low.
so FWIW:
1) overlap between MLB and FTX's current core customer base is low to moderate
2) people who are in FTX's current core customer base are, by definition, not people who we need more brand awareness with
3) overlap with _actual_ important demo is higher
As a marketing guy i understand that sponsorship has a powerful outcome and help brand awareness.

This is a... home run. Brand awareness, potential customer base, expansion and diversification... with a huge network of brand aware consumers, ftx can do so many things. Amazon started with books...
FWIW: Ive been meaning to move over to FTX from binance for a while and just havent. This nudged me to finally actually sign up today and im now in the process of converting my BNB to FTT and moving over. This a big play imo
As a Marketing guy I understand the targeting of the sports/sports betting customer base.
However i would have though targeting the poker community first would have made por sense, unless of course they are already part of the core customer base.
