Cloudflare acting up, not sure why, stopping some people from accessing the FTX website.
We're reaching out to them and working on hacking around it.

Don't use cloudflare, its a liability ... its easier to setup geo-dns ... and since you can afford it, setup your own anycast network.

What about all the good things cloudflare offers like DDos protection, edge caching etc.?

Thats what an anycast network does. Even Geodns accomplishes that for you ... you just need your own servers in 12 locations or so.

Building startups at speed does not like the sound of "you just need your own servers in 12 locations or so." when you can use a great service like . IMO, it's likely a config issue by FTX. Otherwise there would be much more noise on Twitter right now?

still looking into it, best guess is that it's on Cloudflare's side but only if you have certain settings turned on

Did you get to the bottom of it in the end? I've used cloudflare for years now, so would be good to hear what happened in the end 😁🤟

yup, will write up something on it in a few days, but basically there was a bug in Cloudflare if you had a specific set of parameters that lead to tons of rejects
