Please, by all means, keep doing the right thing, and yes "planting trees" is good no matter what. But "carbon neutrality" or "offsetting" is such a bad term+approach to normalize. Every huge industry just buys a certificate that they're good suddenly. youtube.com/watch?v=EIezuL

The whole market with carbon offset certificates is probably the next thing, that'll bring even less trust to the institutions that are actually trying to do good... Once people realize those are just another form of businesses often not much caring for longterm environment good.
