I wouldn’t mind a slower response 1-3 seconds if it ensured uptime.. not sure how heavy a hit this takes on server processing power, but not worth it if it leads future latency and issues with stability causing server crashes..

so it won't lead to any back-end issues -- the only worry is if it makes your browser lag, basically FWIW doing things like removing animations can help with that (the gear icon)

ya, the main bottleneck on server-side is orders/second and trades/second, nothing else has huge impact.
