Have a feeling ole corn pop won’t care much about crypto regs. The extremists in his party might see it as a taxation money grab and try to pass laws around that. Kind of surprised trump was anti crypto when there are states like Florida and Wyoming embracing it.
The DNC rigged the primaries and the general. The urban cities that decided the general had huge budget deficits which the Trump administration wasn't going to subsidize. It was more about survival than anything.
There was never any scenario where Pence could have defected (i.e. helped Trump in any way). Pences role is purely ceremonial, it consists only of open envelopes and read electoral vote counts. Below is a thread explaining the electoral vote counting and the possible scenarios:
