i was thinking that 2) is a thing because some native coins are perp without spot. i first didnt get it why ONT spot was not listed but realised it after not seeing ADA, ZIL, XLM etc. spot either. all erc20 seem to have spot pairs and of course all SPL coins.

yup!
we're working through other chains but it delays other dev work to do it.
right now I think we have:
BTC
ETH
SOL
TRX
XRP
BNB
DOGE
LTC
BCH
MOB
and things on those chains. (I might be missing one or two.)
