Same process as with ETH. ETH itself is not ERC20 compliant, so need to wrap it to use in ERC20 application. Yield farming with SOL, would require you to first wrap it, to use the token in the SPL blockchain.

- am I correct with this?

yup! you can do it, I'd expect Raydium to probably release it soon-ish
