I'd actually be interested in & 's takes on this. If it becomes possible to trade "tokenized" equities abroad, does that mean the tokens can be sent on Eth (or some other blockchain) P2P?

We launched INX - the first (and only) SEC registered IPO on the Ethereum blockchain.
The SEC is ok with this transferring peer to peer on Eth and theoretically in uniswap.
Here’s some info on another project, same rails.

Technically we can take any public stock through the same rails.

This does not allow me to buy GME on Uniswap with no government regulation, more dishonesty

What is this "dishonesty" bullshit? This guy has done more work than anyone (certainly you) to make equities transferrable on blockchains. INX transferrable *right now* and he's laid the groundwork for others to be added as described in the thread.

No, you can't trade *literal GME* on Uniswap *right now.* If you're going to just cover your ears whenever anyone explains how close people like Mason have gotten us to that (with more to come), yeah, you're why these discussions are a waste of time.

Privacy is a bridge too far right now. I'd be happy just to see equities/other assets as easy and permissionless (though nonprivate) to transfer as BTC/ETH...

Yes, I agree the legal obstacles are serious. I'm not sure how close we are to an *ex-US* platform giving you a 100% P2P (ie no whitelist/blacklist) token redeemable for the equity

Valid question. Let me just state for the record that I understand if some people prefer not to go into detail about this on Twitter

So in a sense like eurodollars but for stocks? A) I don’t see US regulators saying yeah that’s cool on the redeem side B) Still doesn’t address the issue of tens of millions of Americans being able to freely trade in/out with an app. Again this is a regulatory not tech challenge
