Things that solve the GameStop problem:
β Bitcoin
β Dogecoin
β Binance
β Ethereum
β DeFi
β Uniswap
If you understand this you're early.
Invest accordingly.
Hey @brendan_dharma if you are looking for a bad, dishonest, hot take this would be the one. Retail customers aren't going to be buying GME on Uniswap. Give me a break. Bitcoin by the way doesn't "fix" GME either but does provide an asset that the govt can't stop you from trading
You're wrong.
The government can stop Bitcoin from trading by choking out liquidity on a few exchanges.
Uniswap on Ethereum is unstoppable.
If you're a friend of democracy and civil liberties, why aren't you a friend of DeFi?
's takes on this. If it becomes possible to trade "tokenized" equities abroad, does that mean the tokens can be sent on Eth (or some other blockchain) P2P?
yup in theory this is definitely possible! Tokenized stocks trading on any smart contract blockchain.
That being said, you obviously have to think about a bunch of implications here which make the picture murkier. Who issues the tokens? What backs them? Who can redeem?
