is saying they are protecting their users from over leveraging and getting burned. But somehow it’s okay when hedgefunds literally do the same exact thing. Nobody had a problem then until the hedge funds lost. Now speculating is a huge issue. #frauds

Legitimate questions that deserve answers . My guess is they were protecting their own hide if stocks burst and people couldn’t put up margin . It happens in commodity markets all the time . They don’t have to lend money if they don’t want to

as best I can tell, 'lending money' here means 'the user deposited via ACH in the last 60 days'. Which, technically, yes, it's a loan. But that's not how it's displayed to the users.
