Sure you go to bank you hand a swift, beneficiary bank name, an account number, an account name, account address and the amount you want to wire and the purpose and supporting document. That’s Call « sending a wire to a beneficiary ». No need to bother further as I said before.

You need to give the bank sending the wire the correspondent bank info....it doesn't just magically appear out of thin air.

Nope it doesn’t :) the remitter bank will find the corresponding bank on either the swift network or service like bankers almanach bank use. Since you know very well payment you are likely aware of it... or not? Oh btw it isn’t a public database but you pay for it as a bank

Perhaps Alameda can chime in here to clarify. When you give wire requests to your bank in order to have funds sent to Deltec, are you inputting instructions for Deltec Nassau only? or are you including the US correspondent bank in your instructions?

Sounds like you are wasting everyones time. They have other things to do then teaching you how to do a wire. So how about you continue trading, let alameda work and me finish my movie:) and we stop here. At least you got a free course on how swift and wire works! Good night.

So does Alameda now answer to you? I thought they were of customer of yours rather than the other way around.

1/2: Exec summary : 2 people claim to wire large sums to/from Tether no problem. Both state they DO NOT send $ to Deltec in Bahamas but instead fund some other correspondent bank. When asking what that bank(s) is no answer.

2/2: Deltec Rep says no one need know correspondent bank because swift/bank process routes it and you only stipulate Deltec details. If this is true, then why did 2 people say they don't wire money to Deltec direct when funding their Tether account? These two things contradict.

correct. this is my point. I have no problem with Gregs answer and the Alameda answer...individually...but they contradict each other. thats the problem.

It is, in fact, all true that:
a) the xfers are "to Deltec"
b) it is a 1-step process, not a 2-step process
c) it does not go to the bahamas
