Here in a nutshell is a proof why it is useless to take the time to answer people « claiming to clear Fud » when in fact they assume they know something in which they have no expertise as sending wires via email or Ebanking doesn’t make you an expert or buying 1 bTC doesn’t make

you a dev expert in blockchain . And when you take the time to explain properly how things work. Instead of acknowledging they quickly deflect and claim BS as it doesn’t fit whatever unclear narrative. So it is useless to spend additional time in trying to answer people

Greg...I'm not trying to spread BS. I'm trying to clear it up. You cannot simply walk into a bank, hand them a swift code and wire $1mm. I'm sorry...but it just does not work that way. If anyone reading this thinks it does...you have watched one too many james bond movies.

Sure you go to bank you hand a swift, beneficiary bank name, an account number, an account name, account address and the amount you want to wire and the purpose and supporting document. That’s Call « sending a wire to a beneficiary ». No need to bother further as I said before.

Nope it doesn’t :) the remitter bank will find the corresponding bank on either the swift network or service like bankers almanach bank use. Since you know very well payment you are likely aware of it... or not? Oh btw it isn’t a public database but you pay for it as a bank

Ive never placed a wire from outside US. Just know in yrs of sending wires to 3rd party banks in other countries Ive always had to provide correspondent bank info. Maybe is diff outside US & I'm willing to concede that may be. But doesnt explain contradiction in Alamedas answer.
