Easy peasy! :-/ Ads require scale + personalization. No dapp (smart contracts only, no endpoint or server s/w) can do that, not even Solana at 50KTPS. 500M tweets/day from 330M users requires something different in kind from dapps. Enough hype and bold talk. Show measurements.

fair! how would you feel about a wager? binary on whether, in 12 months, a Solana app that can handle twitter-like load will exist (just counting text-based tweets, nothing else). Also totally fair if you object to those conditions! Also max tweets/s seems to be about 150k.

This isn’t about “pride”, no one (least of all me) attacked Solana — or said Twitter was worth copying as-is. What’s the finalized TPS under load, aka attack? Can anyone place a lower bound?

For something like Twitter, I would imagine the network would act more like a dns. It only needs to store the head pointer to the IPFS/arweave content. Writes that only touch 1 account are simulated on break.solana.com.
