Well ... People get excited by the TPS bs that has NO MEANING.
For financial network security is more important than speed.
BTC and ETH1 have been running for a long time and are incredibly secure. If you want to send someone $1B you DONT want this at 50000 TPS.

The important transactions in finance aren't $1b transactions; instead they're 1,000,000 transactions of $1k each
Well ... Maybe I did not express my point correctly.
What I meant was that when you design financial software, security is first, and speed is second. It makes totally no sense to discuss speed without discussing security,

Even $1k is big amounts for normal people
Which can't be trusted on solana block chain which stop producing block because of a node failure
