was wondering why my short was drowning here and for some reason my avg fill and break even are completely different. i filled the short at 17535 and my break even is 17265. that literally makes no sense. never had this happen until just now.

1) AVG open px: only looks at opening trades
2) breakeven px: looks at partially closed prices
so if you buy 10 @ $1 and then sell 5 @ $2, avg open is $1 but breakeven is $0.

just confused.. i opened this trade at 17535 not 17265... now my nice short at the top of the range is completely dead.

Those displayed numbers are just informational and don't change what trades you did.
It looks like it's saying that you opened at 17535 but then partially closed some of it higher; so you can win on closing if you buy below 17535 but there's also a loss from the partial close.
im guessing when i closed a long and opened a short at the top of the range it partially closed the long and opened a short.... but when i was flipping it wasnt even near the 17265 so thats why i reached out.
