why not just let the market set the fair trading price until the inauguration, when the president is officially elected? even if biden reaches 270 early-on, the case might be taken to supreme court who might overturn the decision

How about this scenario?
AP declares Biden winner, but Trump takes the matter to The Supreme Court. SC elects Trump even though the electoral votes are in Biden's favor. Trump is declared winner in January. Does $TRUMP spot/futs expire to 1? (not talking about TRUMPFEB)
