At launch, that sounds like exactly what they are describing, although exploring other options with it.
Worth noting, I imagine its redeemable in the same way futures are. You *can* redeem for that barrel of oil, but its costly.

at launch, tokenized equities which are redeemable though CM-Equity for the equity. So spot, not futures or CFDs.
