BaFin regulated investment company custodies the stock, and has EU Trust and provides tokenized CFD.
EU based, not US counterparty.
Just like top CFD firms that we enjoy outside the US.

Glad you posted this, because the original reports made i sound exactly like Abra, and after August, I was sitting here like, "I thought was the smart CEX CEO..."

yeah seems like this:
a) triggered some people
b) created ready-made stories, particularly from Americans who couldn't participate :P
Haha, I won't lie, I saw the report describing this like Abra 2.0 and thought "Do they like jail? Because this is how you jail!"
Glad to know there's more thinking here. Y'all may be one of the few major intl exchanges left in the future that can enter US at scale.

One thing I've learned over the years on the MarCom side, is as you get larger in a lucrative industry you have to be far more active in controlling the narrative because competitors (and haters) get very aggressive at spinning it and journalists are often too busy to find truth.
