i dont have an interest either way, but as someone who has been asked to advisor on many things (and rejected almost always), what was the upside of attaching your name to something if you didnt have agreement in place where ur advice would matter?

Yeah in retrospect it was a mistake.
Generally they were not in a great place when it happened and I wanted to be there for advice if they wanted it.
I wasn't really thinking about it in terms of "witch hunt on people who offered to help".
yea just gotta remember that, both in corporate world and crypto world, the motivation for getting an "advisor" involved is not always to get advice but to create an external signal of credible association
