my guess would be norm
In 2017 there were hardly any non-3 char tickers

And of course it would cost them fortune in gas fees to just to change a ticker😂

It was a enabled - by whom, I don’t recall. Presume post-2017 blowup a 3-letter space became too small.

All projects with 3 characters tickers are so OG.
It's a feature not a bug.
