On the one hand, I agree with much of this. On the other hand -- I can't imagine the thread having been written with the opposite conclusion, independent of the facts on the ground. That's a flag for me.

ya -- I kind of think that the sentiment from many is going to be 'buy YFI, YFI is good' independent of the price and the developments and the market. YFI is cool! But it's also a meta-yield-farming coin. It ballooned at the height of yield farms to a huge mkt cap.

There’s no coin out there that won’t have ardent supporters. Why does YFI stand out here? No one was expecting 100%+ APY yields to last forever either. The point is that the amount of potential yield strategies will increase leading to a greater need for robo optimizers

Agree it is a yield farming proxy! My thesis is it can (and needs to) be more to validate my long term bull case I hear you on the consensus trade part - one thing that helps me tether to reality outside of my echo chamber is tracking their revenues:
