The really important thing here is *norms*. It's one thing if somewhere decided "sure, everything goes". Then everyone adjusts to orderbook size not having much info. The really shitty thing is when the law/norm is that it's illegal but it happens anyway.

Pretty much. I'd much prefer that it was legal, since it's pretty difficult to enforce anyways. I just want to know that the quality of my information isn't changing, regardless of whether that quality of information is good or bad to begin with.
