1) Alright so here's what I gather happened with EMN:

was working on a new protocol. It was still in the testing phase, not ready to be released, in case e.g. it had bugs. He hadn't yet vetted it. It did, in fact, have an exploit

He tweeted about StableCredit a lot of times since some weeks, there are like 3-4 versions of the stable credit contracts ( probably, all with bugs since those are tests) but none have used it. One tweet isn’t equal to it‘s safe to use, lol.
