out of curiosity what would you have done with sushi? Told it "no go die I'm not helping"? to be clear I'm not necessarily saying that would have been wrong! Just that, like, there were tradeoffs there.

I think you handled it pretty good considering the circumstances. It was certainly a very delicate situation and that took guts to execute on, so well done! Also worth pointing out that...the optics for you were great and that you can't even buy press like that. 100% win/win :^)
