Alright so to be clear:
1) NFTs can be really cool!
2) also NFTs can be super lame
3) this reminds me to the STO crazy: good idea, but putting the cart before the horse
4) let's come up with important use cases for NFTs, build those, and then generalize

gaming makes total sense!
I think that the current economic model of the art doesn't, though (make gifs, hope people pay lots of money for digital ownership not tied to anything else)
Gamified Collectibles for sports & games, makes 100%.
Digital Collectibles with just 'bragging rights' value is a niche and difficult to scale (mainstream usage).
NFTs in finance, insurance, etc ... sure.
What's cool though -> Fan Tokens :-) Its like NFTs but not NFTs.

what are fan tokens? i guess one thing holding art NFTs back is the lack of social consensus around whether they constitute art.

So you want your art to come with more utility? Or? Curious what you'd like your art tied to.

But digital art where the form is changed by an oracle input, this can't really be replicated easily has value imo.
A piece on society where the art changes depending on the level of inequality in the most unequal society for example.
