I miss parts of NYC -- best city in the world, in some ways.
I also found it really lonely.
Mostly because finance/media/fashion doesn't tend to be my 'type'. In many ways the compactness was conducive to friendship.
What's it like nowadays?

It’s only lonely if you don’t tap in to any of the multitudes of communities here. Today, it’s as resilient as ever, and I think with even more allure because it’s not as packed with tourists. Come thru 🤘🏼

well said Sam, it’s vibrant yet undeniably still in a state of recovery. It will of course rise from it’s most recent obituary as it always has :)

Still trash in the sidewalks , no parking anywhere, Attitudes ares stronger then ever, Crimes spiked. Same old same ole
The city closes main streets to vehicles on weekends and everyone has been dining out on the street, still small business are suffering and closing up shop. Workers still not returning to offices. A lot of protests. Both sides still hate DiBlasio.
