Not on $ETH. Its cool to have control of your funds yes but 16sec for tx (getting arbed on CEX) and not to mention the fee's (depending on other projects not to mess up the chain). I'm sure things will get copied to faster chains

yeah I mostly agree, it would be really hard to scale DeFi on ETH as it currently is.
(part of why is not on ETH)
