Jeez the desperation of people when their projects' tokens go down in price is really sad... Guys, it happens. It's not "the whales", it's not a cabal. $ETH is down! It's down about 30% from its peak.

$SUSHI price really hurts, it's not like it went up from 1 cent to 15$ and then dumped. It was high in the first place and then dumped. That stings like hornet bite

you are correct that you don't control the price of coins like BTC(but not true for all projects,you get early buying advantages in some coins before you shill),people think you have a credibility and when you keep shilling one project they will blame you when you dump on them!
