How much does hardware cost to run a validating node on Solana? Running nodes should be inexpensive to avoid economic centralisation.

Okay I'm reading up on it now. SOL has a small number of validators. That explains the speed.

Solana validator distribution looks similar to Ethereum miner distribution. And adding more doesn't decrease the speed at all.
Will be interesting to see how the User:Node ratio plays out.
