It is not true that it will have to migrate to new contracts, emissions reductions can be done by pointing at a dead pool as the article itself makes clear

That's not necessarily saying it's _wrong_ to, but I think it's far from obvious that it's correct to.
This was a crap-tastic and pre-spun article that has some truth but is massively overconfident.

Yup the author asked me and others about it in discord. We told him his statement was wrong and he dug in on the side of his 'auditor' and just started asking if we had technical backgrounds or not.
He already decided his position.

So you are not saying it’s wrong, but you don’t need to follow very straightforward guidelines given by the auditor (that I btw totally respect)?

I'm saying that it's not clear whether or not it's correct to migrate, and that I think it probably isn't but can see arguments both ways
