The $SUSHI saga is absolutely disgusting from start to finish. An anonymous person forked Uniswap, talked high and mighty about creating a community owned project, and then dumped $13,000,000+ of the token on the people while claiming they will still work hard. Why even bother?

In the real world, founders, employees and investors commit to vesting schedules over long periods of time to demonstrate commitment to a project. In the recent *yield farming* craze almost everyone is just launching totally useless Ponzi schemes and dumping on the uninformed.

If DeFi is going to succeed, it will need projects that employ hundreds of smart people who are committed to the long term success of their protocols. Look for teams who are open, transparent and honest in their intentions. They are the ones who will build meaningful things.

Credit where credit is due. The person behind
@NomiChef
has returned the $14m to the
@SushiSwap
treasury. To me, forks with a token are unlikely to succeed long term because they cannot replicate the magic of the team who built the original system.

Unsurprisingly, the saga continues: A contributor,
@0xMaki
, is looking to claim a “founder grant” of ~$1.34m in the first 12 months. It looks like it’s going to be approved by the current voters. People need to dive into how vesting schedules work.
