Do they not know about ganache-cli --fork? They could test everything on a test network relatively easily.

They should definitely do that if they haven't already, but it's not really a catch-all solution without proper code coverage for all edge cases like rebase tokens and whatnot, always a non-zero percent chance of this imploding
