If Uniswap has more trading volume than a lot of 'major exchanges' - how come it's not included when calculating the index price of assets?

1) their (Ethereum's, really) tech and data is unusably bad for a robust index
2) it's lower volume than most of the members of the indexes
3) it's volume is mostly in coins not listed on FTX

I was just looking at MTA-PERP and wondering why the index price was like 2-3% lower than reality!

Which has since evened out so I guess I just longed at the right time 😅

heh yeah so the way most people get uniswap data is from a 3rd party website that parses the blockchain
between the blockchain lag and the website's overload, it's a bit of a mess
