But maybe instead they "stake" it in the pool -- adding it and USDC in equal portions, not moving the price.

Thanks. I must not understand how these protocols work, because I thought if you have some pair in some AMM at some sort of constant product price, and then you have some external exchanges with order books, that bots instantly arb the AMMs and the exchanges
