Elrond has a TPS of *5.4k/shard*, with built-in adaptivity allowing to easily exceed 50k TPS if needed.
Current mainnet setup can process 15k TPS NOW, but design enables elegant real time setup update to increase throughput based on demand.
Happy to have a more detailed chat.

I'm happy to chat more too, though at some point would be needed -- my product is Serum, not Solana :)
But roughly speaking -- Solana can also scale its capacity beyond 50k, and also you could multi-shard Solana.
Understand your bias for Solana, but "multi-shard" is not something you can "just do" :)
Elrond's key design advantage is adaptivity. You can easily increase throughput based on demand in Elrond, but this is not the case with any other blockchain architecture.
Adaptivity > 50k.

It’s hard to compare sharded vs non sharded tps. Can the usecase be sharded? How long does a cross shard call take? Are there cross shard syncronous calls or locks?
